Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter (1 stick), softened
- 1 cup Pumpkin Puree
- 1 large Egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 Glaze (optional)
- 3/4 cup semisweet Chocolate Chips (optional)
For Glaze:
- 2 cups sifted powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix glaze ingredients in a bowl until smooth

Directions:
1. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl.
2. Beat sugar and butter with mixer until well blended and fluffy.
3. Beat in the pumpkin puree, egg, and vanilla extract.
4. Gradually beat in the flour mixture.
5. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
6. Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto prepared baking sheets.
7. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes or until edges are firm. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes and remove to wire racks to cool completely.
8. Drizzle Glaze over cookies if desired
